Paul has been with Bay Twisters for 1 season so far and loved every second of it, “the competitive side of cheer in New Zealand is much bigger than home and it has really motivated me to help Bay Twisters be one of the best clubs the country”. He has signed on for another 3 years with the club. His philosophy for the club and cheer in general is:
“Cheer is not just a sport, it’s a lifestyle. Cheer teaches you not only fitness but how to be social, to problem solve, to push through when the going gets tough and that you are never alone. We are not just athletes from different backgrounds coming together. We are a family, and family is for life”

Hi I’m Jessie and I’m 17 years old.
This is my 7th year of doing cheer and I am in Tsunami level 2 .

Heya! My name is Emilie Dixon, I have been cheering for four years and this is my fifth! (Pretty ancient lol) and believe it or not, my whole time cheering has been with bay twisters!
I am currently an athlete in tornadoes which is level three. It’s always important and great to have goals to work towards in and outside of cheer and one of mine inside of cheer is travelling the world through cheerleading being an athlete AND a coach. It would be a pretty amazing experience. One of my personal goals is just to become a more fit and physical person and focus on being more and more optimistic!!
This year I am coaching the one and only Cyclones!

Hello my name is Leah and I’m 16 years old.
This is my fourth year cheering at Bay Twisters and I absolutely love it. Bay Twisters has made me progress so much and last year I was lucky enough to trial for team New Zealand and made it onto Legendz. This team was a huge commitment as trainings were 3 times a week up in Auckland but me and my family were up to the challenge to help me achieve my goal.
This year I’m so excited to be apart of Inferno ( level 4 ) and junior coach Tornadoes ( level 3 ) with Priya. I absolutely love coaching and seeing kids progress with their skills and helping them to achieve their goals and become closer with team mate.
